Arturo Conde

Arturo Conde joined NACLA in June 2011. He holds a BA in Spanish Literature and Journalism from New York University, and a MS in Journalism from Columbia University, where he specialized in Magazine production and writing. He has covered immigration rights, the development of cultural identity in the United States, and biliteracy education and the First Amendment. His articles have appeared in City Limits, La Opinión A Coruña, The Indypendent, and other publications.
Michael Fox

Michael Fox joined NACLA in March 2011 after having worked for many years as a freelance journalist, radio reporter, and documentary filmmaker covering Latin America. He is the co-author of Venezuela Speaks!: Voices From the Grassroots (PM Press, 2010) and the co-director of the documentary films Beyond Elections: Redefining Democracy in the Americas and Crossing the American Crises: From Collapse to Action, both available through PM Press. Anila Churi joined NACLA in May 2011. She holds a BA in Latin American Studies from Oberlin College and a Masters in Global Affairs from New York University, where she focused on human rights and Latin America. Her academic interests include U.S.-Mexico border relations, regional drug policy, peacebuilding, and international development. Anila has lived in Cuba and Mexico, and has traveled to several other countries in Latin America.
